DESIGNER'S NOTE
I’m Cecilia Eduards, architect and founder of Eduards Accessories Sweden. From a very young age, I've harbored a deep passion for design, especially designs that blend practical functionality with personal significance. My journey from architecture to accessory design began in 2013 when I was in need of a functional yet aesthetically pleasing bag. I needed something that could accommodate a laptop, an A4 portfolio, and other professional essentials. When I couldn’t find a bag that met these criteria, I decided to design it myself. Employing the principles of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics from my architectural background, I created the Näver Big Shoulderbag. This design not only met my needs but also sparked my love for accessory design.
In my studio in Gothenburg, I sketch and craft prototypes by hand, carefully exploring proportions and details on a true scale before producing detailed drawings for our Swedish manufacturer. This hands-on approach is crucial; it allows me to integrate traditional methods with modern digital techniques, ensuring each bag we create becomes a perfect everyday companion.
Creating timeless accessories that endure through time is my true mission. For me, bags are more than just accessories; they are loyal companions that follow us through sunshine, rain, or snow.

Sustainability and Craftsmanship
Eduards Accessories is a Swedish independent accessory brand founded in 2013, dedicated to creating sustainable, functional and timeless bags and accessories. We love the way that natural vegetable tanned leather changes over time, making every single item unique.
Design and Production
Each piece is designed by architect Cecilia Eduards in our Gothenburg studio and locally produced in Sweden by leather craftsmen. Our vegetable-tanned leather, traditionally tanned with organic extracts, develops a rich, beautiful patina as it ages. Eduards' designs are deeply rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, inspired by local craftsmanship, traditional architectural techniques and the raw beauty of Swedish nature. Our braided signature collection ”Näver” is inspired by the traditional birch barch braiding technique, used for centuries in the nordic countries.
Awards and Collaborations
Proud recipients of design awards in Sweden and internationally, we commit to small-scale, non-seasonal production with local producers, embracing the principles of slow fashion for lasting quality and thoughtful design. Our sustainability efforts include collaborations with Swedish partners like RISE, focusing on research, development, and material efficiency.
