Inspired by Swedish nature and Nordic craftsmanship traditions, our non-seasonal collections are designed in Gothenburg and made in Sweden. We work closely with our local manufacturers from prototype to finished product. Our bags are designed for care and repair.
REUSE AND RESOURCES
Eduards Accessories collaborates with Swedish manufacturers on projects focused on the use of existing material resources.
Evergreens by Eduards Accessories is our pre-loved concept, where customers can return Eduards bags in exchange for a discount on a new purchase. The returned bags are inspected, refurbished when needed and offered for sale again.
The Leather Archive Project is a collaboration with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and a local manufacturer, using leftover leather from existing material stock to create limited editions of our braided Näver collection.
VEGETABLE-TANNED LEATHER
Eduards Accessories uses vegetable-tanned leather made from European cattle hides, tanned in Italy. Vegetable tanning is a traditional tanning method using tannins derived from plant material such as bark.
Natural marks and variations in colour and surface are characteristic of the leather. Untreated Natural leather darkens and softens through exposure to light and use, developing an individual patina over time. Eduards products are delivered untreated, and the appearance of the leather is influenced by use and leather care.

THE LEATHER ARCHIVE PROJECT
The Leather Archive Project was carried out in 2020/2021 by Eduards Accessories in collaboration with RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden, VGR Västra Götalandsregionen and Nordic Leather Group in Uddevalla.
The project explored how leftover leather from Nordic Leather Group’s existing material stock could be used in new products. As a small-scale brand, Eduards Accessories is able to work with smaller quantities of material. The result was a limited edition of Eduards Accessories’ braided Näver collection, combining different colours of vegetable-tanned leather from the existing material stock.
